Marithe + Fracois Girbaud and Jeanologia for a more Eco-friendly Jean

I posted yesterday about the shoot I’m working on for Marithe + Francois Girbaud and will be posting little tidbits about their work and collaborations throughout the week. MFG collaborated with Spain’s Jeanologia last year to make a more eco-friendly jean, one that relies on light through the use of lasers to make that worn-in vintage look rather than one that wastes our precious water resource.

MFG invented the method of stone washing jeans over 40 years ago, but nobody knew at that time how detrimental the process was to the future of our earth. After 15 years of research Jeanologia has collaborated with MFG to unleash their new Wattwash method as a more environmentally conscious alternative which saves 97.5% more water than stone washing.
